About Us

OUR HISTORY

Incorporated in the State of Maryland in September 1998, NAAAHR was co-sponsored by the Baltimore Black Human Resources Network and the Washington DC Black Human Resources Network. NAAAHR was formed by a coalition of 17 local organizations of Black and African American professionals and consultants from many cities across the country.

Today, NAAAHR’s professional community is made up of over 40,000 members, network affiliates, partners and sponsors, with 25 active chapters and interest groups throughout the US (including the US Virgin Islands). Many of the members are affiliated with other professional and trade organizations, however, find their local NAAAHR Chapter as a valuable resource for shared learning, professional development, expanded networking, and personal growth.

Resources exists to provide a global forum for the career development for the community of People of Color and the African Diaspora in the Human Resources profession.

Letter from the President, Aaron Eubanks

The National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing and empowering Black and African American professionals within the human resources field. NAAAHR provides a global platform for HR practitioners and allies to connect, share insights, exchange best practices, and drive thought leadership on issues that impact career growth, organizational equity, and the broader global workforce. This is a very exciting time for NAAAHR Chicago. I encourage you to get involved with NAAAHR Chicago as we launch new initiatives. Aaron Eubanks (Chapter President)

Aaron Eubanks is an experienced global talent acquisition executive with a proven history of developing and leading effective recruitment operations across a range of industries. He presently holds the position of Head of Talent Acquisition at City of Chicago, where he leads city-wide hiring and onboarding strategy, performance management, succession planning, and employee development initiatives. Aaron is recognized for his ability to streamline recruitment operations, build high-performing teams, and drive inclusive talent strategies that align with organizational goals and community values.

In addition to his corporate role, Aaron serves as the Board President of the NAAAHR (National Association of African Americans in Human Resources) Chicago Chapter. As Board President, he oversees strategic partnerships, chapter operations, and DEI programming. His initiatives have significantly elevated the chapter’s regional impact, visibility, and community engagement.

Aaron holds a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communications from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL. He is known for his people-centric leadership, strategic foresight, and dedication to building inclusive, high-performance workplaces.

When he’s not leading transformative talent initiatives, Aaron enjoys traveling, exploring Chicago’s diverse culinary scenes, curating his sneaker collection, and spending time with family and friends.

Ashlee Moore is an accomplished staffing leader with over seven years of success at Robert Half, where she has built a strong reputation for providing tailored workforce solutions and connecting exceptional talent with leading companies in Chicago. Ashlee began her career specializing in placing finance professionals, leveraging her expertise to deliver outstanding results and foster trusted client relationships. She was then promoted to lead and manage the Administrative and Customer service placement team, where she showcased her leadership and operational excellence.

Recognized for her vision and expertise, Ashlee was entrusted with launching the Human Resources Division at Robert Half in Chicago. In her current role as Client Solutions Director, Vice President, Ashlee specializes in placing Human Resources professionals with reputable organizations, utilizing a strategic, people-first approach to drive success for both clients and candidates 

James Le Blanc IV serves NAAAHR Chicago as the Vice President of Marketing & Communications which includes ownership of NAAAHR Chicago’s Marketing Strategy. He is a Navy Veteran with over 13 years of experience in Learning, Training, & Development for 2 fortune 500 companies. In his most recent role James led as a Manager in Learning Strategy where he supported the full learning journey of technicians and engineers. He’s been awarded with the HR-Excellence Award for Innovative Excellence from The Boeing Company and recognized in 2020 as a Modern Day Technology Leader from the Black Engineer of the Year Awards (BEYA) Stem Conference in Washington D.C.

James holds multiple certifications in Human Resources and Leadership including a Leadership at all Levels certification from MIT. James holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University.

Originally from the Bay Area California, James spent a considerable amount of time in Seattle post Navy enlistment and only moved to the greater Chicago area a few years ago. James is still adapting to the Chicago climate but enjoys family time and the new found community engagement especially with his ‘On The Court’ Men’s Basketball Ministry in the far south suburbs.

Keysha Taylor is currently the manager of talent and culture at the Paul M. Angell Family Foundation (PMAFF) in Chicago, IL. She spent her career working in general management in the hospitality industry before transitioning into nonprofit HR. She earned her master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA; where she was raised. Keysha is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and as a Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) through the Society of Human Resources Management. 

Angelique is a Senior HR Generalist/HR Business Partner at HelloFresh, supporting over 600 employees through workforce planning, leadership advising, and organizational development. Previously, she was an HR Manager at ATEQ Corporation, where she managed a multi-state workforce and led HR integration during a merger.
She holds a Master of Science in Human Resources & Organizational Development from Eastern Michigan University and is SHRM-SCP certified.

She is also an Adjunct Instructor at Roosevelt University in the POEM Department (People, Organizations, Experiences, and Management), teaching HR courses that connect academic learning with real-world practice.

Grover Stewart serves NAAAHR Chicago as the Vice President of Corporate Relations & Development. With over a decade of Human Resources leadership experience across private, public, and non-profit sectors, most notably in Hospitality, Grover has built a career centered on people, culture, and impact. His passion lies in elevating the employee experience, believing that when individuals feel valued, their contributions create lasting change within organizations, and the communities they serve. As an agent of change and culture enthusiast, Grover is dedicated to building meaningful partnerships that foster growth and development for HR professionals and beyond.

Loreal Flowers is a seasoned Human Resources Specialist with over 13 years of federal service. Her expertise spans workforce planning, recruitment, employee engagement, and HR analytics, with a proven track record of driving organizational efficiency and talent development. Loreal is SHRM-CP certified reflecting her commitment to continuous professional growth. Passionate about advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion, she now serves as Vice President of Administration for NAAAHR Chicago, where she leverages her experience to strengthen operations and empower HR professionals 

Victoria is a passionate people leader with over 15 years of experience in the human resources space, specializing in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), Leadership Development, and Human Resources Management. Her work is grounded in one core principle: centering the human experience to foster authentic, inclusive relationships. As Vice President of Global People & Culture at Advanced Group, Victoria leads a dynamic global team overseeing Benefits, Payroll, HR, DE&I, Social Impact, and Learning & Development across North America and beyond. She plays a strategic role in shaping a culture where people thrive and purpose drives performance. Advanced Group delivers a broad range of services—including staffing, talent management, consulting, outsourcing, and clinical research—across multiple industries. Within this mission, Victoria and her team champion inclusive practices and develop programs that empower employees and support equitable, values-based decision-making. Outside of work, Victoria lives in Chicagoland with her husband, where they love to unwind by hosting lively karaoke parties with friends and family.

James Woods is an innovative and visionary Human Resources leader with over 15 years of experience driving organizational transformation and championing people-centered strategies. He is known for his intentional design and ability to strengthen workplaces cultures, advance equity, and enhance organizational effectiveness.

Throughout his career, James has made a lasting impact within some of Chicago’s most recognized nonprofit organizations – including CEDA, Chicago Youth Centers, YWCA Metropolitan Chicago and others. James extends his influence beyond the workplace through his consistent involvement in volunteering, mentoring, and advocacy. His work embodies a steadfast belief that people are an organization’s greatest asset -and that when they are empowered, excellence follows.
